Time needed: ~45–60 min
Supplies
3 small organza bags
A pink or white candle (for Venus/Libra energy)
A small bowl of rosewater or plain water with rose petals
Dried herbs and flowers for balance and beauty:
Rose petals (love, beauty, harmony)
Lavender (peace, clarity)
Chamomile (balance, calm)
Jasmine (harmony, attraction)
Mint (clarity, refreshment)
Small crystals or stones (optional): rose quartz, blue lace agate, green aventurine, clear quartz
Small pieces of paper and pen
Journal & pen for reflection
1. Prepare Your Space (5 min)
Arrange the supplies. Libra appreciates aesthetics, so make your workspace visually pleasing. Light your candle. Place your rosewater nearby. Scatter some rose petals around your space.
Take three deep breaths, settling into a centered, balanced posture. Notice if you're leaning to one side or hunched. Adjust to find true center.
2. Cast the Circle & Call the Quarters (5–7 min)
Walk the circle clockwise, raising your hand or tool, and say:
East (Air): "Spirits of Air, breath of clarity and communication, be with us as we seek truth in relationship and balance in thought."
South (Fire): "Spirits of Fire, passion tempered with grace, be with us as we honor both our power and our gentleness."
West (Water): "Spirits of Water, flow of empathy and emotion, be with us as we learn to give and receive in equal measure."
North (Earth): "Spirits of Earth, foundation of fairness and partnership, be with us as we ground into reciprocity and justice."
Stand at the center and say: "The circle is cast, the Moon in Libra calls us to balance, we gather to weigh the scales of our lives with love and truth."
3. Assess Your Scales (10 min)
Take your journal and reflect on these areas of life, considering where imbalance exists:
Relationships — Am I giving too much or too little? Compromising my truth or being too rigid?
Work & Rest — Am I honoring both productivity and restoration?
Self & Others — Am I prioritizing my needs or always putting others first?
Beauty & Function — Am I only focused on getting things done, forgetting to create beauty?
Speaking & Listening — Am I talking too much or staying silent when I should speak?
Independence & Partnership — Am I too isolated or too dependent?
Inner Truth & Outer Harmony — Am I keeping peace at the cost of authenticity?
Choose 3 areas where you feel most out of balance.
For each area, write on a small piece of paper:
One side of the imbalance you're releasing (e.g., "people-pleasing at my own expense")
One intention for balance (e.g., "honoring both my needs and others' with equal care")
4. Center & Connect (3 min)
Dip your fingertips into the rosewater. Touch your heart (center of love), your throat (voice of truth), and your crown (higher perspective).
Say aloud:
"Under this Libra Moon, I seek balance with grace. I honor both sides of every scale. I choose beauty that does not sacrifice truth. I choose harmony that does not silence my voice. I am centered. I am fair. I am whole."
5. Creating Your Balance Talismans (15–20 min)
Take your first organza bag and the first imbalance/intention paper. Hold the paper and say: "I release [the imbalance]. I call in [the intention for balance]."
Fold the paper and place it in the bag. Add a pinch of herbs that feel right for this intention. As you add each herb, state its purpose:
"Rose for loving myself and others equally"
"Lavender for peaceful boundaries"
"Chamomile for calm in conflict"
"Jasmine for harmony without compromise"
"Mint for clarity and refreshment"
If using crystals, add a small stone while saying: "This stone anchors my intention and reminds me of balance."
Hold the filled bag to your heart and say: "This talisman carries the energy of equilibrium. May it guide me back to center."
Tie or close the bag. Repeat this process for each area of imbalance, creating 5–7 talismans total.
6. Blessing the Talismans (5 min)
Arrange all your organza bags in front of you.
Hold your hands over them and say:
"By the light of the Libra Moon, By the grace of Venus above, These talismans are blessed with balance. May they remind me daily: To honor both sides of every scale, To choose beauty and truth together, To speak and listen in equal measure, To give and receive with open hands. The scales are balanced. Harmony is restored. So it is."
Pass each bag through the candle smoke (carefully).
Sprinkle a drop of rosewater on each bag.
7. Journal Integration (10–15 min)
Use these prompts to deepen the experience:
Which imbalance felt most urgent to address? Why?
In what ways have I been denying one side of myself to favor another?
What would true balance look like in my daily life? Not perfection, but sustainable equilibrium?
How can I practice "both/and" thinking instead of "either/or"?
What would it mean to create beauty in my life without sacrificing authenticity?
8. Close & Seal (5–7 min)
Hold your talismans and say:
"I carry these reminders of balance with me. When I tip too far in any direction, These sacred bags will call me back to center. I honor the scales. I choose grace. I live in harmony. So it is."
Place the talismans where you'll see them daily:
One in your purse or pocket (for relationships)
One by your workspace (for work/rest balance)
One by your bed (for inner peace)
One in your car (for balance in daily life)
Others wherever they feel right
Snuff the candle, saying: "The light of balance burns within me always. Blessed be."
Release the quarters:
North (Earth): "Thank you, grounding and fair Earth. Go if you must, stay if you will."
West (Water): "Thank you, flowing and empathetic Water. Go if you must, stay if you will."
South (Fire): "Thank you, passionate and graceful Fire. Go if you must, stay if you will."
East (Air): "Thank you, clear and truthful Air. Go if you must, stay if you will."
Finally, turn to the center, saying: "The circle is open, yet never broken. The work is done. The scales are balanced. Blessed be."
Closing Notes
The full moon in Libra reminds us that balance isn't a destination but a constant recalibration. Life will always pull us in different directions, and that's natural, what matters is our willingness to notice when we've tipped too far and gently guide ourselves back to center. These talismans serve as tangible reminders that you can honor multiple truths at once, that beauty and authenticity aren't enemies, and that creating harmony in your life is a sacred act.
Carry these bags with you, touch them when you feel yourself falling out of balance, and let them whisper: "Both sides matter. You can hold it all with grace."
